Puppy School

The perfect start

Do you have a new puppy and want to give them the best start to their new life?

 

This course is designed to ensure you and your new family member start off on the right foot, create a lifelong bond, and can take on any challenge.

 

The course will cover:

  • How dogs communicate

  • How to communicate effectively with your puppy to create a relationship built on trust and love

  • Puppy essentials like toilet training, biting, night time routines, and time alone

  • Co-operative care techniques so you can teach your puppy to love nail clips, grooming, travelling, and other real life scenarios that often stress out dogs (and their owners)

  • Practical skills including; sit, down, stay, come, loose lead walking, drop it, leave it, and mat training

  • Safe socialisation to help your puppy find their confidence and calm when out in the world

  • How to handle problem behaviours like barking, stealing, chewing, and more

All this PLUS an in-depth Puppy Guide so you can find the answers you need when you need it!

Class Details:

  • Suitable for puppies between the ages of 8 and 16 weeks at the start of the first class. 

  • Puppies need to have their 1st vaccination before attending. The classroom is disinfected to be safe for puppies before they receive their 2nd and 3rd vaccinations.

  • Class size is 4 to 6 puppies, providing you with lots of individual support and a chance to socialise with other puppies.

  • Cost is $180 for 5 weeks & a pdf version of the Puppy Guide.

  • ​Location is Dalwood Paws Retreat (in their grooming salon). Address provided at booking (10 minutes from Lismore, 20 minutes from Ballina). ​
